How To Build Chest Muscle Fast


Lets face it if you could build chest muscle fast, then you would. A massive chest looks impressive especially if your shirt hangs off from your pecs. The chest muscles are the center piece of the upper body.


The most common mistake weight lifters make is that they perform endless sets of exercises such as presses and flyes in a bid to increase the size of their chest. Believe it of not, you do not need to do hundreds of different chest exercises to get a great upper body.


The key to build chest muscle fast is to focus your efforts on increasing the weights you use each and every workout. This progressive resistance will literally force your chest to grow. The same principle can be applied to all body parts.


There are two main movements when it comes to working the chest muscles. The first on are pressing movements and the second are flye movements. The best bang for your buck when it comes to building massive chest muscles are pressing movements.


There are 3 main pressing movements for you to consider adding to your weight lifting program.

Flat Bench Press
Incline Bench Press
Decline Bench Press

These exercises can be done with either a barbell or for greater stretch and muscle growth dumbbells can be used. If you are just starting out then just pick on of these exercises. The flat bench press is a great place to start and will help build chest muscle fast.


Flye movements are great for increasing the stretch and adding thickness to the pectoral muscles. Flat or incline flyes are the favorite.


Wide grip dips are another exercise which is often over looked. If you lean forward slightly when doing dips you will find that you hit the lower chest muscles. Dips are a fantastic strength exercise which uses your body weight.
