Easy Ab Exercises For Getting Ripped Abs

The search for simple ab exercises is over. Getting six pack abs does not need to be difficult and there are some very basic exercises you can follow that do not require fancy gym equipment and can be done anywhere with a flat surface.

For this workout you need to perform 1 set of 10 reps for each of the easy ab exercises stated in the same order as shown. Do this 3 times a week and you will start to notice the difference in a very short space of time.

 

Abdominal Crunches

1. Start position: Lie back onto floor or bench with knees bent and hands behind head. Keep elbows back and out of sight. Head should be in a neutral position with a space between chin and chest.


2. Leading with the chin and chest towards the ceiling, contract the abdominal and raise shoulders off floor or bench.


3. Return to start position.
Remember to keep head and back in a neutral position. Hyperextension or flexion of either may cause injury.

 

 

Reverse Crunch

reverse crunches1. Start by lying on your back with your hands behind or above your head.

2. Proceed to draw in your belly button toward your spine and lift both legs up at the same time towards your chest.

3. Return to the starting position and repeat making sure that you don't arch your back as you are lowering or raising your legs.

 

 

Oblique Crunch

1. Start by placing your left foot over your right knee and place your hands behind your head.


2. Lift your shoulders up off the ground and twist so that your right elbows tries to touch your left knee.


3. Return to the starting position and repeat according to the required repetitions.


4. Repeat with the other side.

 

Hip Thrusts

1. Lie on your back with your legs bent 90 degrees at the hip.


2. Slowly lift your hips off the floor and towards the ceiling.


3. Lower your hips to the floor and repeat for the prescribed number of repetitions.

 

Follow these easy ab exercises as shown do not rush through them and perform each exercise slowly squeezing your abs with each movement.

The reason i have called these easy ab exercises because they can be done anywhere and do not require any equipment so you can do them at the gym, or at home in front of a DVD or something. They only require a limited amount of space and are very effective for developing the abdominal's from all areas.

If you are following them in a routine then add an extra exercise for each set every workout you do. This gradual progression is very important and will increase the intensity of your workout and provide faster results.
