Do you know someone who can just look at a set of dumbbells and grow muscle? Growing up at school one of my friends seemed to be bigger then the average person. He had broad shoulders and was naturally muscular. I'm not talking about being born with a six pack, but some people find it easier to gain muscle. My friend would be classed as a mesomorph, i class him as a lucky bastard.
The following weightlifting tips are for mesomorphs. A mesomorph is basically someone who finds building muscle relatively easy. They are usually naturally strong and have broad shoulders.
Mesomorphs will have to include exercises the their routines for all body parts so their muscles develop proportionally and well shaped rather then just big and bulky.
Weightlifting Tips For Mesomorphs
- A combination of heavy power movements and a wide variety of isolation exercises to develop each individual muscle group.
- Long workouts with shorter rest time as your body will recover faster then the average person.
- A diet consisting of lots of protein and medium calories. Mesomorphs do not need to bulk like a hard gainer does.
Most weightlifting programs will work well for the mesomorphs. However this dose not mean that will have an easy ride in developing a good physique, and burning fat and getting that defined lean look can be fairly difficult for the naturally muscular.
What many new weightlifters fail to realize is that nutrition is the biggest part in gaining muscle. If you train like a trojan and your diet sucks then you will not make the gains you require. By following a good nutritional plan and training routine you will get the best results from your training as possible, no matter what your body type is.
